Technical Centre
To support the transfer of research results into application, experimental facilities such as test containers, high-pressure reactors, anaerobic experimental sites, and geophysical measuring equipment are set up at various scales at the technical centre. Innovative monitoring and water treatment technologies are thus tested and established.
The technical centre is equipped with two research boreholes (up to 90 m deep), two cooling chambers, gas testing facilities and a large stock of technical components for the construction and operation of experimental plants. Furthermore, borehole measurement technology, field measurement technology and equipment for sampling all environmental media are available.
Selected Test Facilities
- research borehole: 90 m deep groundwater monitoring well
- test rig for geophysical borehole measurement probes
- free convection test facility
- mine water purification plant
